Warzone Mobile expected global release date
Warzone Mobile is reportedly due to arrive in Fall 2023, but an official date is yet to be announced. The Fall launch window was mentioned by Activision CEO Bobby Kotick in court on June 28, in a hearing discussing Microsoft’s proposed takeover of the publisher.
The game’s release date on the Apple App Store is November 1, after being moved from May 15. However, the devs haven’t announced if this is the planned launch date or just a placeholder.
Despite the lack of information concerning an exact date for the global launch of Warzone Mobile, the game has been available in certain regions thanks to a limited release. Players in certain regions like Australia have tested an early version of Warzone Mobile.

— Call of Duty has 100 million monthly active users, with #1 being mobile, then PC, consoles

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile early launch
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile had a limited release in Australia on November 30 and is now available there on Google Play with the iOS release coming soon to the Apple App Store.
Activision confirmed that the worldwide release is still planned for 2023, so players in other regions will need to wait for a bit before they can get their hands on Warzone Mobile.
On March 16, 2023, co-studio head Chris Plummer provided an update on Warzone Mobile’s global release and limited release. Plummer explained that the next regions to receive Warzone Mobile will be certain countries in Europe and South America.
Later, on March 23, it was revealed that Chile, Sweden, and Norway were added to the regional testing of Warzone Mobile.

In the video above, Plumer provides the reasoning behind the limited release of Warzone Mobile. The slow and methodical rollout of Warzone Mobile from region to region allows the devs to manage the game before it hits some of the biggest countries in the world.
Plummer claims that when Warzone Mobile is ready, a big-scale release will arrive, providing access to everyone around the world.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile studios

Activision have gathered several notable gaming studios and teams to work on the project. Solid State Studios (Activision’s new internal mobile team), Digital Legends, Beenox, Activision Shanghai, and Demonware will all come together to develop Warzone Mobile.
Along with the very first Warzone Mobile announcement, Activision also declared that they would be hiring individuals to work on the project.
Activision aimed to hire talented individuals to help work on the game. “From production roles to engineering, design, art, marketing, and more, we’re looking for game-makers, passionate fans, and genuinely awesome people to join our diverse team, inspired to deliver the next world-class mobile gaming experience to fans,” they announced.
Will Warzone Mobile have shared progression with Warzone 2?

Activision confirmed that Warzone Mobile will feature shared progression with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. In an attempt to deliver a unified Call of Duty experience, Activision are delivering what they call cross-progression to improve the connectivity between titles.
Many of the same weapons and Operators will feature across all three titles, which simplifies the shared progression concept. In addition, you’ll be able to advance a unified Battle Pass across Warzone Mobile, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone 2.0.
One example that the Call of Duty team has provided is the scenario of unlocking a new weapon in Modern Warfare 2 and it appearing directly on Warzone Mobile shortly after.
The enhanced connectivity across the three games will also simplify finding games with your friends as your lists and chat channels will unify.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Verdansk map

After it was hinted at in a Warzone Mobile teaser trailer, Activision confirmed that Warzone Mobile players will be heading to Verdansk. Players will be able to drop into the Verdansk map on Warzone Mobile at launch.
All of Verdansk’s classic POIs including Downtown, Super Store, and Dam will be returning in the faithful transition to mobile. Players will also run into the classic Buy Stations, Gulag, and Contracts across Verdansk.
In addition, Activision have also confirmed that Warzone Mobile will feature 120 player lobbies. Given that this version of Warzone is on mobile, players may have expected a smaller player count, but it seems the devs are dedicated to delivering an authentic Warzone experience.
