Warzone Mobile brings the beloved Call of Duty battle royale experience to handheld devices. For those interested in playing Warzone Mobile, here are all the details you need, including the release date, maps, modes, and more.

Warzone Mobile has been revealed, and its global release is coming sooner than you think. Activision have consistently delivered a new Call of Duty installment nearly every year, and soon Warzone Mobile will be added to the catalogue.

With the Call of Duty franchise boasting popular titles, including Modern Warfare 3, and Warzone, granting players an impressive amount of content, Activision revealed Warzone Mobile, the mobile game for the battle royale title, which has been massively successful.

Here’s everything you should know about Warzone Mobile, the CoD project set to bring the thriving free-to-play title to mobile devices.

Warzone Mobile release date

Warzone Mobile’s release date is March 21, 2024. While Activision was aiming for a late 2023 release, Chris Plummer, co-studio head, confirmed the delay stating “We have a few more things we want to polish up before we release around the world in spring of 2024.”

However, until its global release, the game has been available in certain regions thanks to a limited release.

Warzone Mobile: All Battle Royale maps & game modes

Warzone Mobile will feature fan-favorite maps like Verdansk and Rebirth Island from the original version of the game. Additionally, more maps will make their way into the game in the future.

Warzone Mobile also has several game modes for players to queue into, much like its version on PC and consoles. Here’s the complete list of every Warzone Mobile mode:

  • Battle Royale (Solo, Duos, Trios, and Quads)
  • Resurgence (Solo, Duos, Trios, and Quads)

In addition, Activision have also confirmed that Warzone Mobile will feature 120 player lobbies. Despite this version of Warzone being on mobile, it seems the devs are dedicated to offering players an authentic Warzone experience.

On the development side, the publisher gathered several notable gaming studios and teams to work on the project. Solid State Studios, Digital LegendsBeenox, Activision Shanghai, and Demonware all came together to develop Warzone Mobile.

Warzone Mobile: All Multiplayer maps & game modes

Activision have also confirmed that Warzone Mobile will feature a multiplayer mode as well as battle royale, allowing players to use the mode to practice. This is great for players who are looking to get used to the way Warzone feels on mobile, allowing them to play a mode in which players can respawn.

The confirmed maps for the Warzone Mobile global launch are:

  • Scrapyard
  • TV Station
  • Vacant
  • Atlas Superstore
  • Storehouse
  • Shoot House
  • Storage Town
  • Shipment

Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Search & Destroy, including Hardcore variants, are the modes confirmed for Warzone Mobile’s Multiplayer.

Familiar faces are sure to appear in Warzone Mobile.

Activision confirmed that Warzone Mobile will feature cross-progression with Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 in an attempt to deliver a unified Call of Duty experience.

Here’s everything that has been confirmed to be included in Warzone Mobile’s cross-progression:

  • Player Level: Player XP earned on Warzone Mobile transfers seamlessly over to Call of Duty: Warzone and MW3 and vice versa, so that your Player Level (and Prestige) remains the same regardless of platform.
  • Weapon Level: With shared weapon level progression, you can keep grinding away at Weapon XP both at home and on the go.
  • Battle Pass Progression: Warzone Mobile offers shared Battle Pass progress with MW3 and Warzone on both console and PC. Access to your Battle Pass unlocks across platforms, including Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Emblems, Weapon Charms, and more.
  • The BlackCell Battle Pass content has also been confirmed to be accessible within Warzone Mobile.
  • Store Bundles: The Bundles you purchase and own already on Warzone and MW3, aside from a small number of exclusive Bundles, will be available for use in Warzone Mobile and vice versa. Look for the ‘Connected’ tag on Bundles in Warzone’s Mobile version in the in-game Store to confirm cross-inventory compatibility.

Players will be able to advance a unified Battle Pass across Warzone Mobile and current Call of Duty titles, like MW3 during 2024.

Warzone Mobile: Controller support explained

Warzone Mobile will feature controller support and accessibility options at launch, as it was confirmed on the official game reveal blog post.

The entry on controller support and accessibility options states the following:

“Access control and accessibility options designed for a deeply customized mobile experience, including controller support, so that you can find the perfect settings and then focus on the battles ahead.  Want the jump button a little to the left or wish the virtual joystick was a few millimeters bigger? Just about every element in the controls interface can be customized to your liking, including extensive HUD adjustments, detailed controller settings, and graphical options that prioritize performance, graphics, or a balanced mix.”

Warzone Mobile Arsenal Store explained

Warzone Mobile’s Arsenal Store allows players to choose which item they want to unlock.

Warzone Mobile will feature the Arsenal Store feature which is an “all-in-one shop” that allows players to “unlock weapons, gear, and equipment previously released in MWII and brand-new ones from MWIII.”

This system is similar to MW3’s Armory Unlocks, where players earn Arsenal Coins “just by playing Warzone Mobile.” These Coins can be obtained through Events, Daily Challenges, and leveling up and can be used to unlock weapons and gear in the game’s store.

Here’s everything that can be unlocked through the Warzone Mobile Arsenal Store:

  • Any MW3 weapon earned outside of profile progression and Rank unlocks
  • Previously released MW2 weapons
  • Previously released MW2 Killstreaks, Field Upgrades, and Equipment
