The Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded update has arrived, bringing a ton of content to both games. Battle royale players got the long-awaited Warzone 2 Ranked Play beta, while multiplayer fans got a new 6v6 map and Raid episode.

Alongside some notable weapon buffs and nerfs the mid-season update also delivered some changes that fans have been calling for, which are set to address criticisms of Warzone 2’s time-to-kill and the movement across both titles.

Here’s a breakdown of all the TTK and movement changes introduced in the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded update.

Movement changes in Warzone 2 & MW2 Season 3 Reloaded

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded has introduced four key changes to make movement smoother in both titles. Going forward, players will be able to mantle taller obstacles, opening up the door for offensive plays.

The amount of time taken to pull out your weapon after parachuting has been reduced, along with a buff in sliding speed.

Check out all of the movement tweaks introduced in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 Reloaded below:

  • Camera movement while walking and sprinting has been reduced
  • Weapon Raise delay following parachute landing decreased by 30%
  • Initial Sliding acceleration increased by 6%
  • The height threshold for single-handed Mantling has been increased, allowing for more aggressive traversal

TTK changes in Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded has also aimed to increase the close-range TTK, something that the community has been calling for since the game launched back in November. This has been achieved by adding a “Maximum Armor Damage” stat to the main weapon categories, limiting how quickly a weapon can deplete a player’s armor.

According to the Season 3 Reloaded blog: “Maximum Armor Damage values have been added to all Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles, Submachine Guns, and Light Machine Guns. These values will assist in slowing down close-range time-to-kill.”

Meanwhile, other weapons have had their Minimum Armor Damage buffed, which the devs say will “increase their viability at longer ranges.”

This change mainly affects SMGs and Handguns, which will now be able to put up much more of a fight in mid-range engagements that would have spelled instant death before the update.
