How to get Avenge the Drowned quest in Baldur’s Gate 3

In Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 3, you’ll discover that Umberlee’s temple (also called “Water Queen’s House“), a place for those who worship the vengeful goddess of the storms and the ocean, holds many mysteries. To get the “Avenge the Drowned” quest, you’ll need to head to X: 231, Y:262 in the Lower City of Baldur’s Gate 3.

You’ll find there a group of women singing about their fallen sister, and you’ll need to interact with the group until you find Allandra Gray. She’ll explain that her fellow priestess died after colliding with a “metal monster”, and will ask you to kill the owner of the creature.

Baldur’s Gate 3: How to complete Avenge the Drowned quest

Here are the steps you need to follow to complete the “Avenge the Drowned” quest in Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 3.

1. After talking to Allandra Gray, go to the Grey Harbour Docks (X: 216, Y:156).
2. Talk to Gowlan, who’ll tell you that he retrieved the priestess’ body from the water.
3. Head to Flymm Cargo (X: -169 Y: -150). After opening the main door, you’ll have to fight some Wargs. After defeating them all, break the crates until you discover a pathway that will get you to the basement area (X: 159, Y: 143).
4. After reaching the basement, head to the Storage area (X: 1078, Y: 327), and go through the Subaquatic Dock.
5. There you’ll find an NPC called Redhammer the Deviser, who’ll you need to defeat to complete the quest. He’s also key if you want to find where the Grand Duke Ravengard is imprisoned.
6. After finishing him off, return to the Water Queen’s House, and talk to Allandra Grey to finish the quest.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Avenge the Drowned quest rewards

After killing Redhammer the Diviser and completing the “Avenge the Drowned” quest in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll receive both the Wavemother’s Robe. Here are its stats:

• Weight: 1,8 kg.
• Armour Class: 10.
• Special buffs:
  • Temperature Adjustment: You have resistance to Fire and Cold Damage.
  • Water Rejuvenation: If the wearer is standing in a water surface at the start of their turn, they heal 1–4 points.
• Class action: Create or Destroy Water.
• Armour Class +1.
• Value: 610 g.
