Assassin’s Creed Mirage setting, story & main character

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set in Baghdad, between 860 and 870. There are “four unique districts,” and players will be discovering “world events” and interacting with “historical figures that shaped the Golden Age of Baghdad.”

Players will also get to visit Alamut, the legendary setting of the first Assassin’s Creed game, the “home of the Assassins who laid the foundations of the Creed in this heartfelt homage to the game that started it all.”

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will take players back to Alamut, the home of the Assassins.

In Assasin’s Creed Mirage, players will control Basim, a “cunning street thief” looking for answers and justice. His mother died when he was young, and so Basim was left on his own in the streets of Baghdad.

Basim will also have access to the “largest assortment of tools to date,” so you can expect to be learning and using a variety of new assassin gadgets.

It seems the game will not feature the RPG-style of gameplay that has been seen in recent Assassin’s Creed games, taking it back to the original but with a modern take including new animations.
