Best controller settings for XDefiant: Sensitivity, aim assist, FOV, more
UbisoftHere are the controller settings you need to tinker with in XDefiant to get the best out of the movement, sensitivity, and improve the general responsiveness.
Ubisoft’s arena shooter, XDefiant, is drawing a lot of eyes from Call of Duty players for its fast-paced gameplay and being billed as a more ‘classic’ CoD game.
It is currently in a Server Test Session, that’ll run until April 21. Because it is an early test of the game, with its release said to be sometime in 2024, XDefiant may not have the best control feel out of the gate.
So, we have put together the best settings for XDefiant that’ll make playing with a controller smoother.
Best XDefiant controller settings
Controller Settings
- Button Layout: Default
- Stick Layout: Default
- Aim Assist: Standard
- Aim Assist Strength: 0
- Aim Assist Follow: 0
- Aim Response Curve Type: Standard
- Horizontal Sensitivity: 60
- Vertical Sensitivity: 60
- Controller Aim Look Sensitivity Factor: 0.90x
- Controller Aim Scope Look Sensitivity Factor: 0.80x
- Dead Zone – Left Stick: 10
- Dead Zone – Right Stick: 10
- Acceleration Speed Multiplier: 1.00x
- Invert Horizontal Axis: No
- Invert Vertical Axis: No
- Controller Vibration: On
Settings like Button Layout and Controller Vibration are up to preference, as players may find different layouts more natural than others. Sensitivity is also down to preference, although we have recommended you start at 45 for both, so either decrease or increase as you see fit.
We recommend these XDefiant controller settings, especially the Aim Assist settings, as the game doesn’t have the strongest aim assist, so you’ll need all you can get. Reducing your dead zone will also be useful for your aim, so make sure you tweak this setting until there’s no more stick drift, we recommend somewhere around the three mark.
Gameplay Settings
- Field of View: 120
- ADS Field of View: Consistent
- ADS Behavior: Hold
- ADS Sensitivity Transition: Instant
- Melee During ADS: Off
- Aiming Interrupts Reload: On
- Crouch Behavior: Toggle
- Auto Sprint: No
- Sprint Interrupt Reload: No
- Auto-Reload Weapon: On
- Auto-Switch Weapon: On
- Auto-Grab Ledge: Off
As for gameplay settings, one of the most important settings is Field of View as this will give you a great advantage in the amount you can see on your screen, including enemies in your peripherals.
We recommend setting your ADS Field of View to consistent and your ADS Sensitivity Transition to Instant for a more snappy feel.
