Warzone 2 Season 3 will be the next seasonal update to hit the battle royale. The devs have teased some of the content including the possible arrival of Warzone Ranked Play and Plunder.

While players are still getting to grips with the slew of content that Warzone 2 Season 2 delivered on February 15, some are already wondering what’s in store for Season 3. Luckily, the devs hinted at some major arrivals in Warzone 2 Season 3 that should get players excited for the future of the battle royale.

We’ll gather everything you need to know about Warzone 2 Season 3 including when you could expect the major update to arrive. In addition, we’ll go over what the devs had to say about the possible arrival of Warzone Ranked Play and Plunder.

Warzone 2 Season 3 start date

The start date for Warzone 2 Season 3 is Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Thanks to the Season 2 Battle Pass timer, players can see when the Season 3 update will arrive.

When the Warzone 2 Season 2 update went live, the Season 2 Battle Pass timer was set to count down from 55 days. The update arrived on February 15, therefore, 55 days of Season 2 would take us to April 12.

Of course, the circumstances surrounding the delay of the Season 2 update prove that anything can happen and the Season 3 start date could be pushed back. We’ll keep you posted when it comes to changes or delays to the Season 3 start date.

Warzone 2 devs tease Ranked Play for Season 3

The Warzone 2 devs dropped major hints that Warzone Ranked Play could arrive in Season 3. The patch notes for the Season 2 update were very revealing, as a header titled ‘Season 03 Confirmed’ included “Warzone Ranked.”

However, there has not been any official confirmation that Ranked Play will arrive with the Season 3 update. The devs made sure to express that the content listed pertained to Season 3 and beyond.

The inclusion of beyond leaves the door open for Warzone Ranked to arrive after the Season 3 update.

Is Plunder coming to Warzone 2 in Season 3?

The Warzone 2 devs confirmed that Plunder is set to return to Warzone, as a Season 3 and beyond addition.

Much like the Warzone Ranked tease, the devs failed to confirm a Season 3 launch for Plunder. Luckily, players wanting to see Plunder hit Warzone 2 received confirmation that: “Plunder returns to Warzone.”

Plunder is a Warzone playlist that gives players unlimited respawns as they attempt to finish the match with the largest amount of cash possible. It was a fan-favorite mode that many Warzone players used to level up weapons with ease.

Its earliest arrival should be Warzone 2 Season 3, but we’ll let you know once this is confirmed.

Warzone 2 Season 3 expected content

While very little has been confirmed for Warzone 2 Season 3, Call of Duty updates follow a pattern and tend to deliver the same type of content from season to season.
