On April 11, the Warzone 2 devs revealed a community update blog that highlighted some of the major gameplay changes that will arrive with the Season 3 update.

The devs admitted that they’re still looking to improve when it comes to the pacing of Warzone 2 matches: “we want suitable downtime to allow for looting and loadout acquisition, and then the highs of combat and engagements.”

Here are some of the features and changes that Warzone 2 players can look forward to discovering on April 12.

Pacing

In Season 3 of Warzone 2, players will benefit from a “reduced delay time between circles closing towards the mid-game.”

The devs are hoping that this change will improve the pacing of the core battle royale offering. Players will also be able to find more Ammo Caches and Buy Stations in Season 3. This change is meant to further support players who are looking to regain in the late stages of a match.

Combat

When it comes to Warzone 2 combat in Season 3, players will notice the reduced intensity of damage feedback on their HUD. This change will improve the visibility of Warzone 2 Operators as they engage in two-way combat with bullets flying back and forth.

As previously revealed, the devs also reiterated that one-shot kill Sniper Rifles will be returning to Warzone 2 in Season 3. This should see a major increase in terms of Sniper popularity across Al Mazrah and Ashika Island.

In addition, the devs confirmed that: “a number of equipment and killstreak rebalances are coming to this season including a Bomb Drone update so that it will no longer one-hit-down and can instead support flushing and/or pushing an enemy squad.”

Movement

To the delight of Warzone 2 players everywhere, the devs confirmed that movement changes are arriving with the Season 3 update. According to the blog, “Movement will now feel more dynamic and fluid due in part to improvements to mantling over objects or through windows.”

Warzone 2 players will also notice alterations to sliding and diving responsiveness.

Quality of life improvements

Elevation arrows will appear on the Warzone 2 Tac Map as of Season 3. The devs claim that the goal of this change is to assist players in locating objects with more consistency.

Players can also expect the placement of the “Incoming Killstreak” banner to no longer obstruct their line of sight when engaging in combat against an enemy Operator.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Warzone 2 Season 3 update patch notes for a full breakdown of the planned changes.
