Starfield Shattered Space DLC details so far

Starfield Shattered Space is a story expansion that will offer an in-depth look at the game’s most mysterious faction, House Va’ruun. In the base game, the faction was described as a fanatical cult that worships a deity named the ‘Great Serpent.’ They vanished into isolation at some point after the Colony War and now reside on a hidden homeworld.

According to an official blog, the expansion kicks off after you follow a distress signal emanating from a derelict star station. Eventually, you’ll find yourself on House Va’ruun’s secret planet and explore the city of Dazra.

House Va'ruun homeworld in Starfield Shattered Space
The House Va’ruun homeworld stands out when compared to any planet from the base game.

As seen in the Shattered Space trailer, the homeworld has a distinct art style, with purple-colored skies and strange rock formations everywhere. The planet’s hub is also surrounded by some sort of gravitational blue energy. The footage included shots of the local wildlife, all of which looked as alien as other creatures in the game.

The overall tone of the expansion seems darker than the base game, and it looks like players will be uncovering a mystery that could be sinister in nature. Besides new story content, Bethesda have confirmed that players can look forward to exploring a new planet and finding unique weapons, spacesuits, and gear in the DLC.

That was everything we know about Starfield Shattered Space so far. We’ll be sure to update this guide once more information is revealed.
