Starfield might be one of the biggest games of 2023, but fans are still not satisfied with many of the title’s features, and the lack of space POIs is one of them.

Starfield was one of the most hyped-up games last year as almost the entire gaming community tuned in to play Bethesda’s brand-new venture. Thanks to the excitement, it quickly became one of the most successful Bethesda titles of all time, but its hype has gone down since then.

Players have called out several aspects of the game such as the quests and character designs. However, one of the biggest subjects of criticism was the exploration aspect. Considering it is an open-world RPG title, many feel that the exploration is limited.

Reddit user ‘prorules’ said they were “a bit disappointed” with the lack of asteroid stations. The OP added that they wanted “more space POIs to explore” in Starfield.

Although other players clarified that there was one asteroid station that could be encountered in the Freestar Rangers questline, they also claimed that it was even more “disappointing” that there was only one of them in the entirety of Starfield.

“For a space game, you don’t spend much time in space,” claimed one of the players. This has always been a controversial subject among the players, as a lot of them are not fans of the repeated loading screens during space travel in Starfield.

Others added how the devs should have “cut the number of systems in half and created more POI,” as they claim that would have been better for the exploration aspect of the game. Many claimed that the OP’s original idea would be “awesome” and should be implemented.

Bethesda are yet to address this issue, even though the players have repeatedly complained about the exploration in Starfield. However, the devs are deploying big patches, so perhaps players can expect some improvements in the upcoming Shattered Space DLC.
