Nathan Warby
Dcotor in Starfield

The open world in Starfield is loaded with dangers and you can catch status effects with negative impacts quite easily. Here’s a list of all the status effects in Starfield and how you can heal them to continue your expedition throughout space.

Starfield players will encounter a ton of space pirates while exploring space but the game offers plenty of weapons and ships to counter them.

Having said that, your weapons and ships become useless if you end up with an affliction after a battle or from the environment. These status effects decrease the productivity of your character in various ways such as diminishing health, reduced oxygen, reduced carrying capacity, and more.

To never be obstructed in your journey, here’s a list of all Starfied status effects and how to heal them.

Planets with harsh environments can cause status effects.

Every affliction comes with a status effect which, depending on how severe the injury is, can seriously harm your character. For example, lung damage limits your oxygen and reduces how much you can sprint, jump, or melee, while being poisoned drains your health over time.

Players can check which afflictions and status effects they are suffering from by opening the main menu and checking the “Prognosis” section. This will quickly let you know how many injuries you’ve picked up and how severe they are.

How to heal every status effect in Starfield

All Starfield afflictions can be healed by visiting a doctor. These can be found in most major settlements but the easiest to find is in The Well in New Atlantis, as this is the first city you will land in during the campaign.

However, visiting a doctor will cost credits and is only useful between fights. Luckily, there are ways to patch yourself up on the fly and fix any afflictions for yourself by using specific items.
