Mewtwo is finally coming to Pokemon Unite this Summer with their 2nd anniversary update. A balance patch has been released and here’s all the information you need to know about it including Pokemon Unite buffs, changes, nerfs, and info about the upcoming anniversary event.

Pokemon Unite is celebrating its second anniversary soon, and they are adding one of the community’s favorite Legendary Pokemon to the roster. Mewtwo is making its debut, bringing all the power of its Mega Evolutions form X and Y.

Mewtwo is not the only change that is happening during this update. Here’s a full list of all the balance changes that have been made with the Pokemon Unite 2nd anniversary update.

Pokemon Unite 2nd anniversary update release date

The Pokemon Unite 2nd anniversary update patch went live on July 18, but more content is set to arrive in the coming days.

Pokemon Unite’s 2nd anniversary event will start on July 21. At that time, a new game mode called Panic Parade will make its debut. The Mewtwo Crystal Cave event will also go live, players will be able to activate a free Mewtwo license and choose one of its two mega evolutions.

Mewtwo arrives in Pokemon Unite

Pokemon Unite Trainers will have the opportunity to unlock Mewtwo (and its mega evolution) License Card. Mewtwo has received a considerable buff from its testing time at the Beta Servers with an average increase of 12-15 % to base stats, damage buff to basic attacks from 5% to 8%, and ability cooldown reduction.

This event mainly consists of logging in to obtain Mewtwo “dices” and rolling them to play in a board game. You can only roll one dice per log in, meaning they do not stack. As you advance through the board, you’ll be able to complete additional missions, with difficulties based on the number of the square where you landed. You can obtain more rewards by completing higher difficulty missions.

Each mission completed will reward “Mewtwo coins” and you can decide to go for either Mega Mewtwo X or Y, when you reach a branched path in the board.

Pokemon Unite new Panic Parade mode

A tower defense mode called Panic Parade will be added on July 21 to Pokemon Unite. The rules are simple: defend your allies from incoming attacks from Wild Pokemon, boost your power using Eos Shooter power-ups, keep upgrading it, and defend it from the increasing difficulty waves.

The more time you defend, the more score you earn. The higher difficulty you reach in the defense mode, the higher you will reach in a general player ranking.

Playing the Panic Parade more will yield points to exchange for additional dice rolls in the Mewtwo Event board game.

Pokemon Unite Prize Machine Holowear

In celebration of the Pokemon Unite 2nd anniversary, new Holowear gacha prizes have been added to the Prize Machine. Holowear obtained from the machine during the event will have special effects. Keep in mind, they will be event exclusive, so be sure to get them before the event ends!

2nd anniversary Shop discount in Pokemon Unite

In celebration of Pokemon Unite’s 2nd anniversary, several discounts will be available for Holowear, Items and Licenses in the Store. Keep in mind that the discounts will only be available during the time the event is on. So, if you have Aeos Coins, Aeos Tickets, and Gems saved, this is your moment to make good use of them. Gems can be acquired at a discount price during this event as well.
