Pokemon Go players slam “frustrating” Shadow Mewtwo Raids impossible to battle

Shadow Mewtwo is one of the strongest grabs in Pokemon Go and while it’s returning to the game in March 2024, players are far from happy with it as they share several concerns.

Pokemon Go players can look forward to an action-packed March 2024 with more debuting Pokemon from the Paldea region, an opportunity to catch Primal Kyogre & Groudon, the Ultra Beast Poipole to adventure with, and Shadow Mewtwo in a special weekend Raid event.

But, despite Shadow Mewtwo being one of the most sought-after Pokemon in the meta, players are willing to give it a miss, as revealed in the comments section of a Reddit post by user ‘RecentIntroduction32.’

The OP wrote, “This is seriously pi**ing me off with Mewtwo…I can’t even get one because it’s only in shadow raids and they refuse to put the regular back in normal raids” and others couldn’t agree more.

A user commented: “I love the concept of shadow raids but god damn do I hate that they are locked to local raids. I don’t have any friends that still play the game. Sh*t really sucks.”

This prompted a trainer to reply that it’s the same with them since they don’t have enough people to Raid with, while also calling out Pokemon Go for not allowing Remote Passes for Shadow Raids, making it impossible for many fans.

A player pointed out why Shadow Raids would be “much better” with Remote Passes in tow as only a small minority of Pokemon Go players get enough people around them to tackle these “frustrating” battles.

Another added: “I just hate the entire concept of shadow raid weekends. A totally random rotation mixed in with normal raids. No schedule and no way to know what areas would be the best to go to for raiding.”

But it looks like missing these Shadow Raids is not a lost cause after all as the two Mega Evolutions of Mewtwo aren’t in the game yet, and their eventual release will make them the top attackers in Pokemon Go.
