Much like other Pokemon games, players can redeem promotional codes in Pokemon Go to get access to interesting rewards. Even though the mobile game doesn’t give players free gifts as frequently as other Pokemon games, they can be very useful for experienced and novice players alike.

Rewards are usually tied to in-game events or sponsored partnerships, so free Pokemon Go gifts could be useful items, PokeCoins, Special Research tasks, or even cosmetics.

Unfortunately, there are currently no active Pokemon Go codes for players to redeem and earn free rewards.

Recently players had the chance to complete Timed Research tasks to catch Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, but those codes have expired.

How to claim codes in Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go players can utilize two different ways to redeem promo codes. If you play on an Android device, here’s what you need to do:

Open the Pokemon Go app.
Tap the Poke Ball icon at the bottom to access the main menu.
Go to the Shop.
Scroll all the way to the bottom where you’ll find a box where you can enter your codes.

Unfortunately, iOS users can’t access this feature via the Pokemon Go App. Instead, you can redeem promo codes via a browser on the official Niantic website. Here’s what you have to do:

Go to the Niantic Offer Redemption website.
Log in with the same credentials you use for the Pokemon Go App.
Enter the code and redeem it. A message should tell you the items have been added to your inventory.

iOS users who only have a Pokemon Trainer Club account aren’t able to redeem any codes. To get access to that feature you can link your Google or Facebook account in your Pokemon Go app.
