The much-awaited Winter Holiday event is live in Pokemon Go, and fans want to find out all about the debuts, bonuses, and Raids, as well as other details about the two-part event. So here’s all you need to know about the Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event, including shiny Vanillite debut.

End-of-year events are a massive hit among the Pokemon Go community, and the Timeless Travels season has set the stage for an exciting two-part event titled Winter Holiday.

This event introduced popular Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet, such as Cetoddle and its evolution, Cetitan, alongside shiny Vanillite in the game.

Additionally, Holiday events are a great opportunity to catch some cool costumed Pokemon and many Ice-type species that do not appear frequently.

Here are all the details of the Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event, including the schedule and debuts.

Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 start & end date

The Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event will run from December 25 at 10 AM to December 31, 2023, at 8 PM local time.

Trainers will be able to participate in this event which holds a great deal of bonuses and the debut of costumed Pokemon.

Pokemon Go Winter Holiday 2 bonuses

The Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event will allow players who finish their branched Timed Research to pick from the following bonuses:

  • 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon
  • 2x XP for catching Pokemon

These bonuses will remain for the duration of the Part 2 event.

Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 debuts

The following Pokemon will be debuting during the Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event:

Shiny Vanillite will be debuting alongside a new costumed Psyduck and its evolution, Golduck.

Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 Research

The free branching Timed Research is still available during the Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event. Trainers will be able to pick one of two bonuses that will affect how many stardust or XP they gain during the event.

The path trainers choose will alter the tasks and bonuses they get during the event, but the reward items and encounters will remain the same for both branching paths.

Field Research tasks for the event will be active and will yield the following completion rewards:

  • Mega Glalie Mega Energy
  • Mega Abomasnow Mega Energy

Trainers who buy the exclusive access ticket will be able to earn an Avatar Pose.

A Paid Timed Research is also available for purchase from the in-game store for $2 (or the equivalent amount in your local currency). It’s divided into two parts, just like the event, and will grant access to rewards such as event-themed Pokemon encounters and Premium Battle Passes.

Trainers only need to purchase this ticket once and will be able to participate in the two parts of this paid Timed Research. It is also worth mentioning that they need to complete and claim the rewards before December 29, at 8 PM local time.

Another event Ticket can be also purchased for $5 (or the equivalent amount in your local currency) and will grant access to an event-exclusive Timed Research. By completing the tasks, players will be able to earn an Avatar Winter Holiday Pose, several other bonuses, and encounters.

Cetoddle debuted during the Winter Holiday Part 1 event and will appear in 1-Star Raids until part 2 ends.
