Trainers all over the world are enjoying the Pokemon Go end-year closing event titled Winter Holiday Part 2. And since its bonuses double Stardust gains, a player has discovered a good way to cash in for a major farm experience for the precious resource.

The Pokemon Go Winter Holiday Part 2 event is almost over now, with the new year closing up, and Pokemon trainers gathering the remaining rewards should hurry up as the closing for the event and the Timed Research approaches.

But some players are looking for the best ways to cash in all those juicy rewards for the remainder of the event. And now, a Pokemon Go enthusiast found a way to take advantage of the Stardust boost of the branching research to max out their gains.

This was posted by Reddit user ‘MycreativewarPOGO’ in the subreddit, explaining the process: “Shellder catches award 3000 Stardust right now and are available through Nests.”

The OP also explained that “if you happened to select 2x Stardust for the Winter Holiday bonus, Shellder being a 1,000 Stardust catch, now awards 2,000 Stardust per catch. And, if you throw on a Starpiece, that makes it a whopping 3,000 Stardust per catch!”

This also means that weather-boosted catches could also award an extra 750 Stardust per catch making it a total of 3750 Stardust per Shellder capture in Pokemon Go.

Trainers hurried to thank the OP for this discovery, many of them praising its initiative to share the tip with the community. One of them said: “YOU ROCK! Thank you for the info!” While another enthusiastic trainer said: “This is awesome! That’s an incredible amount of Stardust!”

And if you are wondering what to do with all the Stardust you gain using this method, here’s a list of the Strongest Pokemon you can find in Pokemon Go. You can also spend Stardust to teach an extra move to your Pokemon, so here are the best charged TM in the game.
