Pokemon Go is celebrating a new season of content titled Hidden Gems, so here is everything there is to know, including dates, special events, important debuts, new features, and more.

After a tumultuous season full of events, new features, and a lot of controversy, Pokemon Go is ready to kickstart its new Hidden Gems season. This new period will be marked by a new edition of Pokemon Go Fest as well as new features, Pokemon debuts, and more.

So, without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the new season of Pokemon Go, including important dates, seasonal rotations, special bonuses, and much more.

Pokemon Go Hidden Gems season start & end dates

Pokemon Go Season 11 titled Hidden Gems will run from June 1, 2023, at 10 AM local time to September 1, 2023, at 10 AM local time. For the next three months, players will be able to participate in many different events and catch Pokemon that weren’t available in previous seasons, among many other things.

Pokemon Go Hidden Gems season debuts

The new Hidden Gems season of Pokemon Go will bring many debuts throughout its duration, and some of them were already announced in the official blog post.

Sandygast and Palossand will debut in the upcoming Water Festival: Beach Week event through Field Research tasks and Raids from June 6 to June 12. It’s not yet known if players will be able to encounter them in the wild after the event.

Carbink will also make its Pokemon Go debut during the Hidden Gems season. Players believe the Jewel Pokemon will debut during Pokemon Go Fest 2023 alongside Diancie. We’ll update you with more information once Niantic reveal their plans for the big event.

Last but not least, shiny Shadow Articuno will also debut in Pokemon Go during the Hidden Gems Season. The Legendary Pokemon will headline Shadow Raids, and players expect Shadow Zapdos and Shadow Moltres to get shiny forms shortly after.

Pokemon Go Hidden Gems season new features

The Hidden Gems season of Pokemon Go already introduced a new feature ahead of its launch with Shadow Raids. This new type of in-person Raid allows players to defeat and catch powerful Shadow Pokemon. It also introduced Shadow Shards and Purified Gems, useful items to subdue enraged Shadow Pokemon.

Shadow Raids debuted in Pokemon Go just a week before the new season started and will remain an important feature from now on. Players will be able to tackle 3- and 1-Star Shadow Raids daily starting June 5, while 5-Star Raids will be available exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s important to note that special events might change this schedule.

Additionally, the Pokemon Go Web Store has officially launched in some regions. The website gives players a new way to get PokeCoins with discounts as well as exclusive offers.

Niantic also teased four additional new features that will make their way into Pokemon Go during the Hidden Gems season. We’ll update this section once they’re properly announced.

Pokemon Go Hidden Gems season events

Pokemon Go will celebrate these events during Season 11, Hidden Gems:

While Community Day takes place from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, the other events will start at 10 AM and finish at 8 PM local time. We’ll update this section when more events are officially announced.

Pokemon Go Hidden Gems season Raids

The schedule for 5-Star and Mega Raids for the Hidden Gems season was revealed, although there are still some missing spots to be announced. The Raid boss schedule looks like this:

  • June 1 – 15: Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf and Mega Swampert
  • June 15 – 29: Nihilego and Mega Sceptile
  • June 29 – July 6: Heatran
  • July 6 13: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mega Blastoise
  • July 13 25: Regieleki and Mega Blaziken
  • July 25 August 4: Regidrago and Mega Tyranitar
  • August 4 – 16: Cresselia and Mega Gyarados
  • August 16 – 23: Mega Salamence

Pokemon Go will feature these special bonuses during all of Season 11, Hidden Gems:

  • One additional Special Trade per day.
  • One additional Pokemon Candy when trading Pokemon.
  • Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokemon.
