While some Pokemon Go players are happy that Paldean starters are finally coming to the game, others were left wondering if they’re going to see more Galarian Pokemon anytime soon.

Pokemon fans had a lot to digest after the latest Pokemon Presents revealed news about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, the highly-anticipated Mewtwo Tera Raid event, and more classic games making their way to Nintendo Switch Online.

The Pokemon Company also teased Paldean starters making their way into Pokemon Go very soon, which is something fans have been asking for since Scarlet and Violet launched. While many are celebrating and getting ready for September, others are disappointed in Niantic for skipping other starter Pokemon.

“They dead**s forgot about Gen 8,” exclaimed streamer Reversal after the Pokemon Presents stream. Although Pokemon Go players had the chance to catch a couple of Pokemon from the Galar region, the starter trio are yet to make their official debut in the mobile game.

While many players argue that Pokemon Go never followed a strict order to introduce new creatures, starters are a different story. This would be the first time a starter trio debuts in the game before the trio from the previous generation. Since the Pokemon Go experience is full of controversial decisions and features that leave much to be desired, some fans think Niantic completely forgot about Galar.

It didn’t take long for memes to flood Pokemon Go’s official announcement, especially because it says players will be able to “discover Pokemon from Kanto to Paldea.” “Excluding Galar except for a select few & Galarian Forms but not even all of those,” joked a Twitter user.

Many fans were left wondering if they’ll ever be able to get Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble in the mobile game. However, part of the Pokemon community seems completely fine skipping Gen 8 starters: “Not even gonna lie it’s totally understandable.”

For now, all we know is Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly will debut in Pokemon Go in its next season. After Pokemon Go Fest 2023, the Hidden Gems season will come to an end on September 1st, the same day the next one starts. It’s safe to assume the new season will have some sort of Paldean theme, so players might get the chance to catch even more Pokemon from that region.
