After Pokemon Day 2024, all Pokemon players were excited to know that a new Legends spin-off game is coming out in 2025. Pokemon Legends ZA will be set in the Kalos region and will take players to the early stages of Lumiose City.

But what about in 2024? With the 2022 release of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, here’s if a new Pokemon game is coming out in 2024.

Yes, the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket mobile game will be released in 2024. The new mobile take on TCG was announced during the Pokemon Presents 2024 and will feature fan-favorite cards and prize-based gameplay on mobile devices.

Is Pokemon releasing a new mainline game in 2024?

No, Pokemon will not be releasing a new mainline game in 2024. At the time of writing this, the only new console Pokemon game is Legends ZA, which is a spin-off and will be released sometime in 2025 for Nintendo Switch.

Before the official Pokemon Day 2024 announcements, many rumors pointed to a possible remake from a past game to be featured in 2024, before ZA releases. The same thing happened back in 2021 when Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl came out a few months before Pokemon Legends Arceus.
