To become the Blueberry (BB) Champion in the Indigo Disk DLC, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have to first beat the challenging BB Elite Four. Here’s how to beat each member and the champion, with details on their teams.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet hosts the most challenging Elite Four battles to date in the Indigo Disk DLC and fans are eager to beat these powerful trainers and then face the champion, Kieran.

Beating the BB Elite Four is easier said than done so you’ll have to know all the Pokemon they use and build a solid strategy to get the job done.

Similar to the main game’s Gym Challenge, the Blueberry Academy lets you decide the order you want to face the BB Elite Four.

To help you plan a powerful team, here’s how to beat the BB Elite Four and champion Kieran in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: How to beat BB Elite Four

To beat the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Elite Four, you will need to face four challengers and a Champion. All but the Champion battle can be tackled in any order, so check out our list below with every team and decide for yourself who will be your first opponent.

Remember that to initiate the challenge with each member, you will need to pay 50 BP first, and complete a special mission. Once that is done, you will automatically move forward to the BB Elite Four battle.

Here’s every member of the BB Elite Four with their Pokemon teams and types:

BB Elite Four Crispin

Crispin in The Indigo Disk DLC.
Crispin is a chef and a very powerful Fire-type user in The Indigo Disk DLC.

The Fire-type member of The Indigo Disk DLC Elite Four is Crispin, a Pokemon chef, trainer, and the easiest of the four to beat. The easy choice for this battle, of course, are Water-type Pokemon, but there’s a surprise in his team that will need to be countered.

Crispin’s team is mostly composed of Fire-types, and these are his Pokemon:

  • Talonflame lvl 77
  • Rotom Heat lvl 77
  • Camerupt lvl 78
  • Exeggutor lvl 78
  • Magmortar lvl 78
  • Blaziken lvl 79 – Fire Tera Type

Exeggutor is your main surprise target when it comes to using Water-type Pokemon, as its Grass-type might obliterate your creatures. The likes of Pelipper or Gyarados are great options, since they pack powerful Flying-type moves to quickly dispose of Exeggutor.

BB Elite Four Amarys

Amarys in The Indigo Disk DLC.
Amarys is a Steel-type specialist.

Amarys is the ideal second member to handle in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, and her Steel-types are no easy feat. This is the first big challenge for your team in the Terarium, so players will need to prepare with a good Pokemon composition.

Amarys’s team is mostly composed of Steel-types, and these are her Pokemon:

  • Alolan Dugtrio lvl 78
  • Skarmory lvl 78
  • Empoleon lvl 79
  • Reuiniclus lvl 79
  • Scizor lvl 78
  • Metagross lvl 80 – Steel Tera Type

As with Crispin, the easy way out of her Steel-type focused team are Fire-type Pokemon, but Empoleon will crush them in no time. Believe it or not, Paldea holds a mysterious Pokemon called Scovillain that packs the Grass and Fire-type, making it a perfect choice to deal with Empoleon as soon as possible.

BB Elite Four Lacey

Lacey in The Indigo Disk DLC
Lacey is the Fairy-type user of the BB Elite Four.

Fairy-types are a tough one, especially in The Indigo Disk DLC, and with their power to completely cancel the mighty Dragon-types, you will need a killer strategy to overcome this challenge.

Lacey’s team are Fairy-types, and these are her Pokemon:

  • Granbull lvl 78
  • Whimsicott  lvl 78
  • Primarina lvl 79
  • Galarian Slowbro lvl 79
  • Alcremie lvl 79
  • Excadrill lvl 80 – Fairy Tera Type

The ideal type to counter Lacey is the Poison-type, but Excadrill Ground and Steel-types are a problem, even with its Fairy Tera Type. A good strategy for this powerhouse is Revavroom, the Steel and Poison-type Pokemon, which can bring Excadrill’s Fairy Terastallization down in no time.

BB Elite Four Drayton

Drayton in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC.
The Dragon-type user of the BB Elite Four appears early in The Indigo Disk.

The Dragon-type user Drayton is a difficult challenge in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, so it is recommended that you don’t face him first. Ice, Fairy of Dragon-types seems to be the best strategy, but he is strong and so is his team.

Drayton’s team are mostly Dragon-type creatures, and these are his Pokemon:

  • Flygon lvl 78
  • Dragonite  lvl 78
  • Sceptile lvl 79
  • Haxorus  lvl 79
  • Kingdra lvl 79
  • Archaludon lvl 80 – Fairy Tera Type

Archaludon Fairy Tera Type is a big surprise for Drayton’s team since it’s the main counter of the Dragon-type. Bringing your dragons into the fight is a double-edged sword, so for most of the fight, you should focus on Fairy-types, and bring something like a Galarian Wheezing to counter his Terastallization.

BB Elite Four Champion Kieran

Kieran, the champion of the BB Elite Four in The Indigo Disk DLC.
The player will meet a much different Kieran in The Indigo Disk DLC.

Kieran is one of the most difficult fights in Pokemon history, surpassing the average level of Cynthia’s Pokemon team back in Gen 4. You will need to prepare a strong and high-level Pokemon team for the final fight in The Indigo Disk DLC BB Elite Four.

Kieran packs a strong high-level Pokemon team with multiple types:

  • Politoed lvl 85
  • Dragonite  lvl 85
  • Grimmsnarl lvl 86
  • Porygon-Z  lvl 86
  • Incineroar lvl 86
  • Hydrapple lvl 87 – Fighting Tera Type

His team has a variety of types, all hidden in a high-level team that will crush you if you are unprepared. You can bring your best Pokemon to the fight, as it will be tough, but Gound, Fairy, Electric, Fire, Ice, and Flying-types are some of the best options to handle Kieran’s team.

Once you beat the BB Elite Four Champion in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, you will become the new Blueberry Academy Champion and Drayton will gift you a Master Ball for your efforts.
