Pokemon fans can get a small preview of what’s to come in Pokemon Sleep, so here’s how to sign up for the open beta in selected countries.

After a very long wait, Pokemon Sleep is finally getting ready to launch on Android and iOS devices in late July. There’s more than meets the eye in the new Pokemon sleeping app that’s building hype all around the world. Lucky players can now enter an open beta test to try some of the features ahead of launch, although it’s only available in certain countries.

If you want to try Pokemon Sleep before it comes out, here’s everything you need to know.

How to enter the Pokemon Sleep beta

There are only two requirements to join the Pokemon Sleep beta. The first one is owning an Android device. Unfortunately, iOS users can’t participate during this stage. Android users must follow these steps to enter the beta:

  1. Head to Google Play Pokemon Sleep page and click ‘Become a tester’.
  2. Once you’ve done that, go to the Play Store and download the app.
  3. Open the app and follow the instructions to download additional data.

You can leave the tester program anytime by uninstalling the testing version and installing the public version when it becomes available in late July. The open beta will be available until July 13.

Pokemon Sleep will register your sleeping data to get you started, so you should try the app for the first time right before going to bed.

Where is the Pokemon Sleep beta available?

The Pokemon Sleep beta is only available in selected countries at the moment, so the second requirement for entering Pokemon Sleep’s beta is living in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, New Zealand, Venezuela, Panama, or Peru. If you live in any of these territories, you can follow the steps above to enter Pokemon Sleep’s beta. If not, you might have to wait until its official release date to try Pokemon Sleep.

We’ll update this article if more countries are added to the Pokemon Sleep beta test period.
