Pokemon Go Festival of Colors is back in 2023 and players have lots to do. Here we’ll cover all the Collection Challenge and Field Research tasks and rewards of the event.

Festival of Colors is back for another year in Pokemon Go with some Pokemon debuts. Among the things players can do during the event, there is a new Collection Challenge alongside some interesting Field Research tasks to complete.

We’ll cover everything you need to know about the tasks and rewards for 2023’s Festival of Colors event.

How to complete Pokemon Go Festival of Colors 2023 Collection Challenge

The Festival of Colors Collection Challenge is available in Pokemon Go until Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 8 PM local time, so make sure you get every Pokemon on the list to earn the Elite Collector Medal:

  • Koffing – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Stunky – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Wobbuffet – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Natu – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Shuckle – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Paras – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Krabby – Can be caught in the wild.
  • Bruxish – Can be caught in the wild and in 1-Star Raids.
  • Sand Burmy – Can be caught in the wild and through event-exclusive Field Research task.
  • Trash Burmy – Can be caught in the wild and through event-exclusive Field Research task.
  • Plant Burmy – Can be caught in the wild and through event-exclusive Field Research task.
  • Mothim – Evolve a male Burmy using 50 Burmy Candy.

Players that complete this challenge before the end of the event will earn 20,000 XP and a Lure Module. All Lure Modules last 3 hours during the Festival of Colors event, except for the new Golden Lure Modules.

All Pokemon Go Festival of Colors 2023 Field Research tasks & rewards

Pokemon Go players that spin PokeStops during the Festival of Colors might get an event-exclusive Field Research task. Here’s the full list of tasks and rewards:

Catch 8 different species of PokemonPlant Cloak Burmy, Sand Cloak Burmy, or Trash Cloak Burmy encounter
Catch 10 different species of PokemonBaile Style Oricorio, Pom-Pom Style Oricorio, Pa’u Style Oricorio, or Sensu Style Oricorio encounter
Catch 15 PokemonAlolan Grimer encounter

The Oricorio players encounter will be of different Styles depending on where they were caught in the world.
