Overwatch 2 Season 3 marks the return of the popular PachiMarchi event, inspired by the adorable onion mascot that fans know and love. Here’s a breakdown of the Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi event, including the start date and new game modes.

Overwatch 2 Season 3 is finally here, and it’s set to be the busiest period of the hero shooter to date. The update added a brand-new Antarctic Peninsula map, and Blizzard have announced a One Punch Man crossover and even the Loverwatch Dating Sim.

Fans can also look forward to the return of PachiMarchi, a popular event from the original Overwatch focused on Pachimari – the adorable, onion-like creature found around the game’s maps.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s in store in Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi.

Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi start date

Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi will commence on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, as confirmed by the Season 3 roadmap.

The event will run for two weeks before coming to an end on April 4, meaning players will have to act fast if they want to unlock all of the rewards up for grabs.

Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi skins

Only one new skin has been revealed for the PachiMarchi event in Overwatch 2 – the epic Pachimari outfit for Roadhog. This charming cosmetic can be unlocked through a series of in-game challenges before being equipped to the Tank hero.

Assuming that PachiMarchi sticks to the formula of other Overwatch 2 events, we’re expecting even more skins to be available for purchase from the store. However, we don’t have details on how these will look or which heroes they will apply to.

Blizzard have also confirmed that six PachiMarchi player icons, a weapon charm, and a name card will be up for grabs, along with a player icon that will be added as a login bonus.

Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi new game mode

To mark the return of PachiMarchi in Overwatch 2, the devs are introducing a new Kill Confirmed LTM. Not too many details have been revealed about the new mode, but we expect it to function similarly to the Call of Duty playlist of the same name.

Essentially, when a player is eliminated they leave behind a tag that must be collected to confirm the kill and score a point. If you can’t make it over to where the enemy died, other members of your team can snag the tag for you.

Teammates can also collect their own tag to prevent the other team from getting a kill, so it’s important to keep an eye on how the rest of your squad is fairing in battle.

We’re expecting more details to emerge as the start date for Overwatch 2 PachiMarchi approaches, so be sure to check back here to stay updated.
