Overwatch 2 Season 3 will keep the hero shooter content train chugging along and the devs have spiced things up by giving players a glimpse into the new Overwatch 2 map.

Blizzard are pulling no punches with Overwatch 2 Season 3 as the team have already revealed quite a few different things to expect in the new season from the return of the Credits currency to requested changes to the game’s Ranked mode.

But one of the main draws for Season 3 was the prospect of a new map, especially given that there will be no new Hero this time around.

While we are still waiting on the official roadmap for Overwatch 2 Season 3, we’ve finally gotten a reveal of the new map.

Antarctic Peninsula is the new kid on the block and the Overwatch 2 team describe it as a “New Control map.”

In classic Blizzard fashion, they’ve also accompanied the map’s reveal with some ‘tips’ to help players get acquainted with the map.

“Dress accordingly. Always say hi to the penguins. Capture the point & win.”

In the brief, but intriguing, teaser video for the game’s Antarctic Peninsula, we were treated to the aforementioned penguins and the map as a whole really embraces its name. Ice, snow, frozen walls, and tons of mini-combat arenas comprise the map and it looks like it might be an icy blast to play.

The official tweet says that a full trailer for Overwatch 2 Season 3 is due to arrive on February 6, 2023, which is likely when we can expect to see a full look at the season’s content roadmap too.

If you’ve not had your fill of Overwatch 2 news and content just yet, why not take a look at the game’s most popular picks, as well as potential nerfs set for Season 3.
