Overwatch 2 x One Punch Man event: Start date, skins & more
Blizzard have announced the Overwatch 2 x One Punch Man crossover event for Season 3, so here’s the start date and skins revealed so far.
Overwatch 2 developer Blizzard has announced that Season 3 will bring a crossover with the popular anime One Punch Man. Here’s everything we know about the Overwatch 2 One Punch Man event, from the start date to the skins up for grabs.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 was the biggest update to the hero shooter yet, delivering a host of major changes and new content. The new season brought an overhaul to the Ranked system, the return of Credits to purchase skins, and even the new Antarctic Peninsula map.
That’s not all though, the Season 3 roadmap also revealed that a collaboration that fans have wanted for years is finally due to arrive, as a One Punch Man crossover is on the cards.
We’ve put together everything you need to know about the Overwatch 2 x One Punch Man event.

Overwatch 2 x One Punch Man event start date
Blizzard have confirmed that the One Punch Man event will get underway on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, exactly four weeks after Overwatch 2 Season 3 went live.
The event will run until Monday, April 6, 2023, giving players almost a full month to see and unlock everything on offer.
Overwatch 2 x One Punch Man skins
Three skins have been revealed for the collaboration so far, the first of which is a Doomfist outfit that closely resembles the iconic yellow suit worn by protagonist Saitama. The DPS hero came with many One Punch Man referencing voice lines when he arrived in the first Overwatch, so it makes sense that he would take center stage in this crossover.
There is also set to be a Terrible Tornado skin for Kiriko along with a Mumen Rider cosmetic for Soldier 76.
More skins and other cosmetics will also be available throughout the event, most of which will need to be purchased from the store. However, in an interview with ComicBook.com, Overwatch 2 Vice President and Art Director, Jon Spector, revealed that one legendary skin will be free to unlock.
He said: “We’ve picked out one of the legendary skins for the event and made that the reward for the challenges during the One Punch Man event so that all of the players have the ability to go in and earn one of the major skins from the collab.”
Overwatch 2 x One Punch Man game modes
There is currently no word on whether or not the One Punch Man crossover will also bring any new game modes to try out. Previous Overwatch 2 events have added LTMs where players can complete challenges to earn a free skin.
Given that we know one legendary cosmetic will be free to unlock, it’s safe to assume that a new mode and challenges will be included, but this isn’t confirmed just yet. We’ll be sure to update this section as soon as more details are available.
