Zelda TOTK Zora Spear

There are plenty of amazing weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and many like the Zora Spear and Lightscale Trident have returned from Breath of the Wild. Here’s how to get the original Zora Spear and turn it into the mighty Lightscale Trident in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Combat in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is similar to Breath of the Wild, but there are tons of new weapons and Ultrahand gadgets to help you this time around.

From high resistance to elements to explosive damage, many things make weapons in Tears of the Kingdom desirable. If you want such weapons, we recommend getting your hands on the Zora Spear and turning it into the legendary Lightscale Trident that conducts electricity.

On that note, here’s how to find the Zora Spear in Zelda TOTK, as well as how to create the Lightscale Trident.

Where to find Zora Spear in Zelda TOTK

There are multiple Zora Spears that you can collect in TOTK

The simplest method to getting a Zora Spear in Zelda TOTK is to open a chest that can be found west of Ralis Pond.

You’re going to want to look for a cliffside located west of Ralis Pond. The exact coordinates to reach this chest are 2840, 0194, 0169.

You can also get a Zora Spear in TOTK with the following methods:

  • Mipha Amiibo: Scanning the Mipha Amiibo will give you a chance to get a Zora Spear, but it isn’t a guarantee.
  • Tabahl Woods Cave: Defeating enemies holding Zora Spears is another great method. You can find a Lizalfos with a Zora Spear in hand inside the cave. Like Likes can also drop Zora Spears within the cave.
  • Mired in Muck Side Quest: Freeing Bazz the Zora during this Side Quest will result in Link receiving a Zora Spear reward.

How to get Lightscale Trident in Zelda TOTK

The Lightscale Trident deals double the damage when wet.

Tears of the Kingdom players can get their hands on a Lightscale Trident by having Dento craft one for them in the general store in Zora’s Domain. With the right materials, Dento can create the illustrious Lightscale Trident.

However, you’ll have to conquer the Water Temple and clear up the issue involving Zora’s Domain first. Once you’ve completed the Sidon of the Zora Main Story Quest, you’ll be able to access the dialogue option with Dento, which will allow him to craft Lightscale Trident.

Dento requires a Zora Spear, five Flint, and three Diamonds to create the Lightscale Trident. Luckily, you already know where to find a Zora Spear and Flint is a common enough material to find across Hyrule. The real challenge is securing three Diamonds.

Where to find Diamonds in Zelda TOTK

The easiest way to secure Diamonds is to buy them from Gonguron at the city center of Goron City. Gonguron will sell a total of three Diamonds per day, luckily for you, that’s all you need. Keep in mind they’ll come at the steep cost of 1,000 Rupees per Diamond.

More importantly, this method is only accessible once you’ve completed the Main Story Quest in Goron City. If you haven’t progressed that far yet, you can also find one Diamond in Hyrule Castle, the Jinodok Shrine, Yomizuk Shrine, and Maoikes Shrine.

Keep in mind the Lighscale Trident will deal double the damage when you’re wet and even more than that when Fused with a high attack power material.

While the Lighscale Trident is incredibly durable, it is possible for it to break. In this case, Dento can always craft another for you.
