Honkai Star Rail keeps expanding its cast of characters with every new update, and players have many interesting options to fill their teams. While fans enjoy Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae and Fu Xuan‘s abilities in battle, HoYoverse is already looking ahead and introduced players to Guinaifen.

Who is Guinaifen in Honkai Star Rail?
According to Honkai Star Rail lore, Guinaifen is “an outworlder who ended up residing on the Xianzhou by accident.” She is a street performer who has mastered many tricks that players will be able to use in combat.
HoYoverse shared Guinaifen’s character card on August 17, revealing her real name is actually Guinevere. Her good friend Sushang gave her a new name to wander the streets of the Xianzhou as part of the community.
Guinaifen release date in Honkai Star Rail
Guinaifen will debut in Honkai Star Rail with the version 1.4 update releasing on October 11. She’ll be part of the second phase of the update alongside Topaz.
Do note that HoYoverse revealed the version 1.4 update will have a shorter duration, spanning five weeks instead of six. This means banners will also have shorter durations, so keep that in mind to know when to pull for your favorite characters.
All Honkai Star Rail Guinaifen leaked abilities
Guinaifen is a four-star Fire character in the Path of The Nihility in Honkai Star Rail. This means she specializes in debuffing and weakening enemies in battle. Depending on your team composition, Guinaifen could be a DPS or a support character.
According to different leaks, these are Guinaifen’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail:
- A Full House of Splits (Basic ATK) – Deals Fire DMG to a single enemy target.
- A Good Start (Skill) – Deals Fire DMG to a single enemy. If the target is inflicted with burn, it will trigger both the burn on the target and burn DMG on adjacent enemies.
- A Show For You (Ultimate) – Deals Fire DMG to all enemies on the field.
- In ancient times, gentlemen raised artists (Talent) – When Guinaifen casts a Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, and Technique, it will cause the target to fall into the “Fire Swallowing” state for 2 turns. When a target in that state suffers Fire DMG, there is a chance that it will apply burn. Enemies with burn receive DoT DMG at the beginning of each turn for a number of turns.
- Juggling Tricks (Technique) – Attacks enemies immediately and deals Fire DMG to random enemies, dealing additional DMG afterward.
Guinaifen’s abilities seem perfect for players lacking a good Fire element character that deals damage. She can also be a great asset for a mono Fire team including Asta and the Fire Trailblazer, if that’s what you’re going for.
We’ll make sure to update this article once more official details are revealed. Also, keep in mind that none of the abilities have been officially confirmed by the devs yet. So, we might see changes once Guinaifen debuts in Honkai Star Rail.
