How to learn Alohomora in Hogwarts Legacy
You can learn Alohomora towards the middle of the game from Caretaker Gladwin Moon after completing The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament quest. This quest becomes available to you after you complete Percival Rackham’s Trial towards the middle of Hogwarts Legacy.
You’ll be able to find Caretaker Gladwin Moon and start this quest near the Moving Staircase in the Reception Hall. During this quest, you’ll be tasked with using this spell as you search for Demiguise Statues around Hogwarts.

The Alohomora spell can be used to lockpick and unlock locked doors as well as chests around Hogwarts. You just need to approach the locked object and press the corresponding button to cast the spell.

- Learn Alohomora by completing The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament quest.
- Approach a locked door or container.
- Press F (keyboard), X (Xbox), or Square (PlayStation) to cast Alohomora.
In the Caretaker’s Lunar Lament quest, you’ll need to use it to access the areas where the Demiguise Statues are located. This spell is also needed to complete other quests, including the one that requires you to search for Daedalian Keys.
