After years of speculation and leaks, Rockstar Games have pulled back the curtain on GTA 6 at long last. The hotly-anticipated reveal finally gave fans their first look at the new Vice City map and the series’ first female protagonist – Lucia.

Such a long wait hasn’t dampened the hype for the game, as the reveal broke viewership records for a video game trailer. Now, eager fans are wondering if they can secure their copy of GTA 6 before it arrives in 2025.

Can you pre-order GTA 6?

GTA 6 pre-orders are yet to go live, meaning there’s no way to purchase a copy of the game early at the time of writing. Given that the long-awaited sequel only has a rough release window of 2025, Rockstar Games will likely wait until a final date has been confirmed to open up pre-orders.

In the past, the devs have allowed players to pre-order their games many months beforehand, so we expect them to be available later in 2024. However, this hasn’t been confirmed just yet, so we’ll update this section once we know more.

Will GTA 6 have a Special & Collector’s Edition?

A GTA 6 Special Edition and Collector’s Edition haven’t been officially announced, but the game will likely come with more expensive versions. Most AAA titles have multiple editions with different bonuses, and GTA 5 featured both a Special Edition and a Collector’s Edition for fans to buy.

The Special Edition came with a steelbook cover, a special Blueprint Map, as well as in-game bonuses like outfits and weapons. Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition included extra merch, like a Los Santos snapback and a security deposit bag.

Although the GTA 6 Special Edition and Collector’s Edition are yet to be confirmed, we expect Rockstar to offer similar rewards for those who want more than just the base game.
