GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, as confirmed by the official press release, announced soon after the trailer. Leonida appears to take inspiration from the state of Florida, resembling the Miami beaches along with a Flannigan restaurant chain Easter egg visible in the GTA 6 trailer.
This restaurant chain is popular in South Florida and keeps the locals busy with entertainment and good food.
Leonida is also home to the “neon-soaked streets of Vice City” and several rural areas along the beach.

While the trailer doesn’t reveal everything GTA 6 has to offer, you can spot plenty of activities that Leonida has in place. From racing tracks, strip clubs, and crowded beaches to rooftop spots and skyscrapers, the new map in GTA 6 has plenty to keep you immersed for hours.
You can also spot a few street signs and boards, especially the ones on the way to Vice City Airport. While it is not revealed whether you’ll be able to travel to other states, we know that airplanes will have a place in the title, much like in GTA 5.
