Xbox console exclusive, Sea of Thieves, is finally coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. With this in mind, here’s everything we know about when Sea of Thieves will come to PlayStation 5 and Switch.

After tons of speculation, Xbox have confirmed that some console-exclusive titles like Sea of Thieves will be coming to other platforms in the future. As of now, four Xbox first-party games are set to release on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, and arguably the most obvious fit among the rumored titles is Rare’s co-op game.

Sea of Thieves is a pirate adventure and encourages cooperation through various mechanics, such as manning different stations on a ship, participating in raids, or just sharing drinks at a tavern. The experience is best enjoyed with other players, and now, it looks like users on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch will be able to join the party in the future.

With that said, here’s everything we know about when Sea of Thieves will come to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Sea of Thieves PlayStation 5 release date

Sea of Thieves is coming to PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2024. After many rumors, Microsoft confirmed the first set of titles that will launch on other platforms, and Sea of Thieves will be the last of the first batch.

Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, and Grounded are the other three games in this first set of titles, with Pentiment also coming to PS4, PS5, and Switch as soon as February 22, 2024.

Is there a Sea of Thieves Nintendo Switch release date?

No, with Xbox yet to officially confirm Sea of Thieves’ arrival on Nintendo Switch, there isn’t any release date to offer. The Switch is reaching the end of its lifetime, so it’s hard to tell if the pirate game is ever coming to the Nintendo console.

On the other hand, with rumors of a Nintendo Switch 2 being revealed soon, Sea of Thieves may be released on the new console instead.
