Tekken 8 is the intense new installment for Bandai Namco’s iconic fighting franchise that focuses on aggression with the fresh Heat system.

With the launch imminent, players are excited to get their hands on the roster and new Arcade Quest mode, as well as find out what will happen to the Mishima storyline.

Players are keen to get on and play Tekken 8, and while the demo provides a sneak peek, some may be wondering if pre-ordering will give you early access, so here are all the details.

Is there early access for Tekken 8?

There is no early access period for Tekken 8, so no matter what edition you purchase, the game will launch for everybody on January 26, 2024. Depending on your region, you may even get your hands on the game late in the day on January 25, 2024.

While this is a shame for those who’d like to play early, you can experience the game with the demo, which allows you to play a select few characters and also experience the new Heat system, Arcade Quest mode, and Ghost AI mechanic.

Tekken 8 DLC early access explained

There is an aspect of early access for Tekken 8, however, as the Year 1 Season Pass DLC will feature a 72-hour early access pass for the playable characters.

This means that if you have purchased the season pass, or have it through pre-ordering the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game, you will receive all the DLC Year 1 Season Pass characters 72 hours earlier than their release dates.
