Tekken 8 Season 1 has already introduced a bunch of new content and changes to the game, including Eddy and Lidia. However, even more is on the way, as Heihachi was announced at EVO Japan 2024.

While the DLC is a paid offering, other contents of the update will be free for all players. So, here’s everything you need to know about the game’s first season.

Confirmed DLC characters in Tekken 8 Season 1

  • Eddy Gordo (Spring 2024)
  • Lidia (Summer 2024)
  • Heihachi (Autumn 2024)

Eddy was the first to join the roster back in Spring, and Lidia Sobieski will be the second DLC character to enter the game on July 25, 2024.

Heihachi was revealed at Japan EVO 2024 as the new character for the Autumn update. To get these characters, you’ll need to purchase the Playable Character Year 1 Pass which costs $30 / £32.99. The Pass also comes bundled with the game’s Deluxe Edition.

Leaked Tekken 8 DLC characters

Leaks from different sources have provided players with a glimpse at some of the characters coming as part of Tekken 8 DLC. One of these leaks came via an accidental upload on Bandai Namco’s official YouTube channel. This led to speculation of Josie Rizal being a DLC character for Tekken 8.

Other leaks emerged in the form of a Deluxe Edition listing and information from a dataminer that supposedly revealed some DLC characters – Armor King, Anna Williams, Fahkumram, and Marduk.

Keep in mind that none of this has been confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt. There’s only one spot left for Season’s DLC characters, who will arrive in Winter 2024.

Tekken 8 Season 1 new stage

Season 1 will bring multiple free updates to the game.

Tekken 8 Season 1 introduces a new stage named Seaside Resort. Shown off in the season trailer, the stage is set on a sandy beach with shacks and wooden fences surrounding the arena. The backdrop is a calming view of the sea, and the stage doesn’t appear to have any wall breaks or destructible elements.

The stage will be released on July 25 alongside the highly-requested Photo Mode.

We also saw a new stage in the Heihachi reveal trailer, so perhaps players will have a new arena to fight in Autumn 2024.

Tekken 8 Season 1 new main story chapter

Tekken 8 Season 1 will add a new chapter to the game’s story, highlighting Eddy Gordo’s role in the narrative’s events. The chapter will arrive sometime during Autumn 2024, alongside the introduction of Heihachi Mishima.

The chapter will likely focus heavily on Heihachi, who was thought to be dead but is now returning with a trained group of fighters.

Tekken Season 1 new game modes

Tekken 8 Season 1 will add the Online Practice and Ghost vs Ghost game modes to the title. Both modes will be arriving at a later date, which is yet to be revealed by the devs.

As the name suggests, Ghost vs Ghost will let players set up a battle between two AIs, while Online Practice will allow them to hone their skills in friendly online training sessions.

These will be great ways to improve your skills and get better with your characters, instead of relying on a Rage Art to end your opponent.
