Consoles haven’t really been a popular home for the RTS genre, as it has historically been a PC favorite. True to the earlier games in the series, Homeworld 3 is another classic real-time strategy entry with a neat Rouglike addition in War Games and extensive post-launch support.

Is Homeworld 3 coming to PlayStation and Xbox?

No, Homeworld 3 will not be available on PlayStation and Xbox when it launches on May 13.

Blackbird Interactive have not shared any details on its potential arrival for consoles. Past mainline entries in the series were also exclusive to PC, so it is unlikely Homeworld 3 will get a console port, at least not on launch.

RTS games, especially 3D ones like Homeworld, are best played with on mouse and keyboard, and it’ll be quite a task to play on a controller. With all of the interfaces and quick real-time inputs you’ll have to do, the game will be more or less unplayable in its current state.

No, Homeworld 3 is not available for the Nintendo Switch, and Blackbird Interactive have not hinted at any potential Switch port either.
