Homeworld 3 will receive extensive post-launch support, with both free and paid content, so here’s a full year-long roadmap for the latest entry in the iconic sci-fi series.

Picking off right after the last two entries in the franchise, Homeworld 3 is another galactic affair that’ll see you once again at the helm of Mothership. It’ll continue to receive more content past its May 13 release, as developers have announced all the additions for Year 1.

Here’s everything Gearbox and Blackbird Interactive revealed about the post-launch roadmap for Homeworld 3.

Homeworld 3 Year 1 free content roadmap

Homeworld 3 will receive free content, it’ll be available to all players who own the base game, here’s a schedule for the content drop, as revealed by Blackbird Interactive in their blog post:

June 2024: New challenges and artifacts.
August 2024: New challenges, new artifacts, and new map & system.
Q4 2024: New challenges, map, and more new content.
2025: New challenges, map, and more content.

Finer details, like the exact date, are unknown but we’ll be sure to update you once we learn more.

Homeworld 3 Year 1 paid content roadmap

All of the following paid content will be available for players who own the Year 1 pass of Homeworld 3:

July 2024: New playable faction, new faction-starting fleets, artifacts, and faction emblem.
October 2024: New playable faction, new faction-starting fleets, and faction emblem.
2025: New playable faction, new faction-starting fleets, faction artifacts & challenges, faction emblems.

The Year 1 Pass can be bought separately on Steam and is included in the Deluxe, Fleet Command, and Collector’s Editions.

Homeworld 3 is only available on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).

Will Homeworld 3 single-player get content updates?

All the content listed above is for the War Games co-op mode, and there’s no announcement about any single-player DLC. We’ll update you if there are any such announcements.
