Spider-Man 2, the sequel to Insomniac’s beloved 2018 title, will release on October 20 for PS5. The sequel expands on the first game’s scope in every way. It packs in a bigger open world, many new suits, and even the ability to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales seamlessly.
Spider-Man 2 will also feature some of the greatest villains from the character’s rogues gallery. Previews of the game have already provided glimpses of Kraven the Hunter, Venom, and Lizard. At some point, the symbiote even takes over Peter Parker, opening up the possibility of roleplaying ‘Bully Maguire’ for those interested.

PS5 players can preload Spider-Man 2 by locating it in their games library, or by going to the game’s digital store page. It’s important to note that the preload is only available if you have pre-ordered the game.
Spider-Man 2 will be available for preload starting midnight on October 13 in your local timezone.
Spider-Man 2: Game file size
Spider-Man 2 will take up around 86GB of space on your PS5’s SSD.
The number is a substantial increase over Spider-Man Remastered (2020), which took up around 54GB on PS5. Besides new assets and content, the addition of Queens and Brooklyn to the game’s map likely had an impact on the file size as well.
