Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact isn’t far away, and ahead of its release, developers HoYoverse have highlighted everything we can expect. Here’s all that’s coming to Genshin Impact with version 4.3.

The seas of Fontaine will be calm for the upcoming few versions of Genshin Impact, as the Archon quest has already found its finale in version 4.2. This means version 4.3 will be a bit more relaxed, but it’ll still feature the usual—new characters, reruns, events, QoL changes, and much more.

While we already knew much of the information about version 4.3 of Genshin Impact thanks to leaks, HoYoverse have now confirmed them, as well as some new announcements, in their Special Program livestream.

Here is everything we know about Genshin Impact version 4.3.

Genshin Impact version 4.3 release date

Genshin Impact version 4.3 will be released on December 20. The game’s current cycle of new version updates is every six weeks, which is in line with the version 4.3 launch date.

Cyno and Ayato will also leave the current limited banner pool on December 19, and after the daily reset, version 4.3 should be live on all platforms.

Genshin Impact 4.3 confirmed banners

Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact is confirmed to have a banner of the new 5-star character Navia, and Chevreuse as one of the 4-star rate-ups.

There will also be a re-run of Raiden Shogun, Ayaka, and Yoimiya in version 4.3.

Here is how the banner of phases 1 and 2 of version 4.3 is scheduled and how all the characters will be paired:

  • Phase 1:
    • Characters: Navia and Ayaka.
    • Weapons: Verdict and Mistsplitter Reforged.
  • Phase 2:
    • Characters: Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya, with Chevreuse as the 4-star.
    • Weapons: Engulfing Lightning and Thundering Pulse.

Genshin Impact version 4.3 story and expansion details

There will likely be no expansion or Archon quest in Genshin Impact version 4.3, as Fontaine’s arc has already seen its finale in version 4.2.

Even though there will be no major story content, a Navia story quest will be added in version 4.3.

Genshin Impact version 4.3 confirmed QoL updates

Genshin Impact version 4.3 will bring plenty of QoL updates, most of these were already leaked but were later confirmed by HoYoverse in their blog post, and more in their Special Program livestream.

Here is everything that’ll be added in terms of QoL updates:

  • One-Click Expeditions, quickly claim all rewards and dispatch immediately for the same Expeditions.
  • Respawn right at the domain key whenever you retry a domain.
  • Reduced level-up pop-in animations.
  • Cooldown now refreshes when you retry Spiral Abyss.
  • Artifacts can now be upgraded from level 4 > 8 > 12 > 16 > 20.
  • More materials and EXP books can be added to upgrade weapons, artifacts, and characters.
  • Improved artifact filter by adding more sorting options.
  • An option to lock artifacts based on their rolls.
  • Add artifacts automatically to Strongbox.
  • Check bosses’ current remaining respawn times by clicking their avatars.
  • More enemies are shown at a single time in the Adventurer Handbook.
  • The default choice while crafting and cooking will be a character that can provide a bonus.

Beyond these QoLs, for a smoother flow of Archon Quest, the pre-requisite of “The Chasm Delvers” quest from the Archon Quest “Requiem of the Echoing Depths” will be removed following version 4.3. Furthermore, a Chasm Underground teleportation point will be unlocked just as you reach the “Enter The Chasm: Underground Mines” step in Archon Quest.

Genshin Impact version 4.3 new artifact sets

Two new artifact sets, Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods and Song of Days Past will be added to the upcoming Genshin Impact version 4.3.

While we do not have official information on the artifact’s bonuses and effects, leaks have shed some light on it, here’s what they suggest:

  • Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods
    • 2-Pieces: Increases ATK +18%.
    • 4-Pieces: Gain 20% GEO DMG Bonus for 10s after using Elemental Skill. This is increased by 150% if you have a shield granted by Crystallize reaction.
  • Song of Days Past
    • 2-Pieces: Healing Bonus +15%.
    • 4-Pieces: Whenever someone who equips this artifact heals a party member, the amount of healing (including overflow healing) will be recorded by a counter for 6s. After six seconds have elapsed, whenever the active party member hits an opponent with any attack the DMG dealt will be increased by 8% of the total amount previously recorded.

Genshin Impact version 4.3 events & rewards

Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact will have a main event featuring characters like Ayato, Furina, Yoimiya, Chevreuse, Chiori, and others. Here’s a full breakdown of the events.
