Genshin Impact 4.8 server maintenance schedule & rewards
HoYoverseGenshin Impact version 4.8 is slated for release on July 17, and it promises a brand new 5-star character as well as a whole new schedule full of events for players to get materials to upgrade their favorite teams.
As usual, the new version’s release will lead to the servers going offline temporarily. If you’re wondering when the downtime ends, here is the maintenance schedule.
Genshin Impact 4.8 server maintenance start & end times
Version 4.8 maintenance for Genshin Impact will start on July 16 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET / 11 PM BST. The servers will be down for five hours before going live on July 16 at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET/ 4 AM BST.
Keep in mind that this is an estimated time, and the server may come back online even before the scheduled time or be late.
Server maintenance rewards
For the maintenance, Genshin Impact will reward 300 Primogems. In case the downtime extends beyond five hours, an additional 60 Primogems will be handed out for each extended hour. But the maintenance hasn’t extended beyond 5 hours so far.
An additional 300 Primogems will be given as compensation for various bug fixes. So all in all, when you log back after the update is live, you’ll get 600 Primogems in total.
How to update your Genshin Impact Client
- PC:
- Close the game.
- Open the Genshin Impact Launcher.
- Click “Update”.
- iOS:
- Go to your App Store.
- Tap the “Update” option.
- PlayStation 4 & 5
- Go to your Home Screen.
- Press the “Options” button.
- Select “Check for Update.”
Remember that you can keep playing as your game is updating, but it will close once the new version installation starts.
