Gray Zone Warfare requires players to select a faction to be associated with, changing their drop location on the map. So, here’s the best one to select.

There are three factions to choose from in Gray Zone Warfare early access – Lamang Recovery Initiative, Mithras Security Systems, and Crimson Shield International. You can only select one of these at the start of the game, all of which are unique and offer a different experience.

Your choice will dictate who you can party up with, where your base camp is located, which missions you’re assigned, and the NPCs you’ll interact with. If you’re struggling with your choice, here’s the best Gray Zone Warfare faction to select.

Best Gray Zone Warfare faction to choose

The best faction to choose in Gray Zone Warfare is the one your friends are in, as this will allow you to party up with them in the tactical FPS.

Given that none of the three available factions offer any true advantages, double-check what faction your friends are in before picking. If you’re selecting with your friends, read the descriptions of the factions and figure out which one sounds most appealing.

You can only play with friends in the same faction.

Lamang Recovery Initiative is like one big recovery unit that aims to rescue survivors on the island, this is perfect for those who are all about aid. Mithras Security Systems is a PMC run by soldiers for soldiers, a more military fashion faction. Lastly, Crimson Shield International is a private military company with a cold-blooded edge, and they only select the best of the best.

You won’t be able to party up with those in different factions, so make sure you select the one that the people you wish to play with are in. It’s also important to note that you can’t change factions once you select it, but the devs have confirmed that you will be able to switch sides when a wipe takes place.
