We have been spoiled with games old and new in the past few years, but sometimes we want to curl up and play a game that makes us feel good inside. Here are some of the best cozy games to try in 2024.

A cozy, or casual game, is something different from the fast-paced games we know and love. Cozy games give us an opportunity to build something, relax, and engage in RPG-like platformers, simulators, and storytelling

Cozy games tend not to go out of style, so we have compiled a list of the best cozy games you can try right now, alongside cozy games coming out this year we are looking forward to.

Here are the best cozy games to try in 2024:

Cozy games you can play now

While we are all excited about new cozy games coming out in 2024, there are some you can try in the meantime to scratch the cozy game itch.

Power Wash Simulator

The Muckingham Playground in Power Wash Simulator
Power Wash Simulator lets players clean many areas until they are spotless.

Power Wash Simulator is exactly what it sounds like: you grab a power washer and clean an array of different areas covered in dirt. While the premise is simple, you can truly lose hours to this game. You can upgrade your washer to clean more efficiently with the money you get from every job you’ve completed. The jobs are all different, too, ranging from dirty trucks to alien constructions that need cleaning.

Power Wash Simulator is available on Windows and Xbox.

House Flipper 2

House Flipper 2 lets players clean, build, and maintain houses.

House Flipper 2 is another game that can take up hours of relaxing playtime, and all you need to do is flip houses. While the basics remain the same as the first game, House Flipper 2 introduces a sandbox mode where you can build your own house instead of renovating an old one. House Flipper 2 also gives players access to new tools and mechanics for those perfect cozy game nights.

House Flipper 2 is available on Windows, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Dig, build, maintain, and discover new species and crafts as you level up your asteroid base to new heights. You choose the best Duplicants for your asteroid, set them to work, and watch as they keep busy with growing a wonderful and inventive living space (pun intended).

Oxygen Not Included is available on Windows and Mac.

Witchy Life Story

Players can craft potions in Witchy Life Story to help villagers.

Witchy Life Story is a witch-life simulator with a sprinkling of humor. You can tend to your garden, craft spells, befriend villagers, and help those around you to make their life better. The main story tasks you with helping the village prepare for the Harvest Festival, and you can catch a date or two in between. What you choose to do helps you excel as an apprentice – or not.

Witchy Life Story is available on Windows, Xbox, and Switch.
