The Fortnite community went into meltdown when it was revealed that superstar rapper Eminem would be featuring in The Big Bang event to end Season OG, but many have slammed Epic Games as “greedy” after it was revealed there are three different skins up for grabs.

Fortnite Chapter 4 is ending strongly, with Season OG bringing millions of players back to the game as the devs take players on a journey through its history. This is all set to culminate with The Big Bang live event, which will end this era of Fortnite and kick off Chapter 5.

Very little is known about the event so far, but Epic Games have confirmed that the 15-time Grammy-winner Eminem will play a starring role. A concert featuring the rapper will make up part of the live finale, alongside official skins arriving in the store.

But after it was revealed that there will be three different Eminem skins up for grabs as part of the collaboration, many Fortnite players expressed their frustration.

In a post on the Fortnite subreddit, ‘gingerchrs’ said: “Having 3 separate Eminem skins is extremely greedy by Epic. What happened to edit styles?” before adding, “I don’t know why they have started doing 2 separated skins for Icon series but now we are up to three with Eminem.”

As confirmed on the Fortnite website, the “Slim Shady,” “Rap Boy,” and “Marshall Never More” skins are available from the store, while the “Marshall Magma” Style will be handed out to players who take part in The Big Bang event.

Although Epic are giving a free Fortnite Eminem skin, plenty of other players responded to call out the decision to separate them all instead of being different Styles for the same skin.

“I totally agree with you on that. The absurd part is that these should have been edit styles like skins in the past,” said one reply, while another said: “That’s just ridiculous.”

Meanwhile, others urged fans to “vote with their wallets” and not buy any of the Eminem skins, as a way of sending a message to the devs. Only time will tell exactly how much each individual Eminem outfit costs in Fortnite, but players are clearly unhappy that they’ll have to spend money three times to collect them all.
