Fortnite players fed up with repetitive Crew skins: “They can do better”

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is almost over, but players still have a lot to do in its different game modes. Festival is about to start a new season, and players are looking forward to seeing what Season 2 of the battle royale has in store.
As usual, Fortnite Crew members can get the new Battle Pass as a reward alongside new skins and other cosmetics every month. However, some subscribers aren’t happy with the latest Crew outfits due to a repetitive trend they want to bury.
Reddit user ‘cozypan’ made a post titled “What are the chances we get ANOTHER bucket hat skin in the Crew Pack?” to showcase that the last three Crew skins are wearing the same type of hat. Players were quick to join the conversation, with many betting on how many more characters like this we are going to see the rest of the year.
One player joked, “I’d only accept it if the character him/herself is a sentient bucket hat,” and another user said, “If we do we can do a whole bucket head squad.”
On the other hand, others admitted they wouldn’t have a problem with this if they could remove the hat when changing styles. “At least with Skull Scout you can remove it. I don’t use Silas Hesk at all l, he’s cool though. Lana Lane I like the whole outfit, adorable,” commented one user.
Another Fortnite player revealed this trend made them unsubscribe from Fortnite Crew: “I canceled crew until they make it worth it again. I was stoked for the vampire princess in October, Drakon Steel Hybrid was my favorite skin I’ve ever seen that we got in November, and then we have had 3 months of bucket hat people in a row. I like Hesk and his snake, but I think they can do better.”
Fortnite added tons of new content to the battle royale and its other game modes since Chapter 5 Season 1 came out, but it seems Fortnite Crew didn’t receive much love from developers during that time. We’ll have to wait and see what outfit is next in line when the March Crew pack becomes available soon.
