Fortnite players don’t want to see this “annoying” skin in the Battle Pass again
Epic GamesFortnite is about to jump into a new season and the devs are teasing what’s coming next, but players wish the new Battle Pass doesn’t include a controversial character.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is almost over, which means Epic Games is already sharing glimpses of Season 2’s content. As leaks suggested, Chapter 5 Season 2 will have a Greek mythology theme, giving players the chance to unlock Fortnite skins based on gods and other mythological figures.
Players were able to enjoy a live event centered around Pandora’s Box to see what’s coming to the battle royale, but they can also complete certain quests and visit specific locations to get more hints of the new season. The Chapter 5 Season 2 character Odyssey can be found on Ruined Reels, where players can visit a Greek amphitheater alongside statues that might tease upcoming skins.
However, there is one statue that has players wondering if they’ll get a reworked skin in the next Battle Pass. “Praying we don’t get a BP slot wasted on this. We just had a Fish Thicc skin less than 2 seasons ago,” stated Reddit user ‘MeowsclesOnlyfans,’ referring to a statue that looks like Fish Thicc wearing a toga while holding a trident.
“I just hope they don’t make this Epic’s version of Poseidon in the battle pass,” commented one Fortnite player. Others advised OP to wait until the Battle Pass is officially revealed, but they don’t rule out the possibility: “Some of the meme skins are funny and I do expect one per battle pass. We had Peter Griffin this time, I assume it’s gonna be either some funny collab or something Greek-themed but silly.”
Some players are tired of characters like Fishstick, Meowscles, and Peely getting new skins almost every season, but others agree they’re okay as long as they’re Shop skins. “As a shop item that would be cool,” commented one user.
