Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to play as Sephiroth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is almost here, and with its release date on February 29, 2024, players are wondering how they will be able to play with the One Winged Angel Sephiroth as they did in the game’s demo.

Sephiroth is one of the most important characters in the Final Fantasy universe, let alone in the new FF7 Rebirth. As stated by its developers, “Sephiroth is a protagonist in Rebirth,” so players can expect a lot from the ex-SOLDIER in the new entry.

We know you can play with Sephiroth in the demo and make the dream of using the legendary Masamune sword come true. But, what about in the final game? When do you play as him? And how?

Well, here’s how and when players get to play with the One-Winged Angel Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

How to play as Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Players can slash enemies away using Sephiroth’s Masamune sword in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Nibelheim flashback. The game’s demo lets us get a taste of what being the One-Winged Angel feels like and what an overpowered katana can do to enemies.

Sephiroth can be used in most of the Nibelheim flashback fights, with him and Cloud fighting together with unique Synergy Skills and Abilities. The One-Winged Angel is completely broken for this demo’s early fights, so if you want more of a challenge, stick to using Cloud.

We have no official confirmation of Sephiroth being playable at a later part in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but we will keep this guide updated if more Sephiroth gameplay moments are in the full game, as soon as it releases.
