Many Diablo 4 players are extremely unhappy with meta builds one-shotting World Bosses and claim that the devs have not fixed anything from D3.

Diablo 4 Season 3 is in full swing as it is heading into mid-season with the upcoming 1.3.3 update. After receiving a boatload of complaints since S3’s start, Blizzard have been quite actively putting out patches, in an attempt to fix issues.

However, it seems like the new class balancing changes cannot come quickly enough as the current meta is destroying World Bosses within a second, and Diablo 4 players are absolutely not happy about it. Rather, one such post has been bombarded with negative comments from the player base.

Reddit user ‘narnia42069’ posted a video of their World Boss run as one of the many HoTA Barbarians destroyed Avarice in a single hit. However, others in the comments were not having it as one of them sarcastically claimed: “Wow. This game looks fun…such a challenge ain’t it?”

Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian has been one of the most overpowered builds since Season 2 and is currently regarded as meta in Diablo 4. However, many players have asked the devs to nerf it since S2 as more and more people started opting for it, making it a monotonous experience in multiplayer.

“I really wanted this game to be a better D2, not a worse D3” argued one of the players as another replied: “It’s funny to me that Diablo 4 has managed to power creep faster than Diablo 3 ever did.” Most people claimed that such mechanics were not fun, making it a dull experience for everyone else.

“They learned nothing from D3,” added another player as they wanted Diablo 4 to be a better version of it. However, others argued that they were having more fun playing Diablo 3 than D4 currently, and it was “boring af” after such broken damage numbers.

Despite more and more people complaining about this issue since Season 2, Blizzard are yet to address this problem explicitly. Whether or not the devs will introduce big changes to the meta in the upcoming seasons remains to be seen.
