Diablo 4 players claim Necromancers are getting “scammed” by damage bug

Diablo 4 players are extremely unhappy with a bug issue that makes their Necromancer characters extremely underpowered, calling it a scam.

It seems like complaints regarding Diablo 4 Season 3 will not be stopping anytime soon as every other day a new issue pops up in the community. Despite the devs trying to fix them with updates, several new problems are being pointed out each day.

Among all the other complaints, one Diablo 4 player claimed that Necromancer mains have reportedly been made weaker, as the Gloom Passive skill is reportedly bugged in the game.

Reddit user and Diablo content creator ‘MacroBioBoi’ posted about this issue on the Diablo 4 subreddit as they claimed: “Necromancer in Diablo4 are getting scammed out of 50% of their bonus damage to Bosses because the Gloom Passive Skill is bugged!”

“Gloom Passive only grants 50% of its bonus vs Bosses. So instead of Darkness builds getting a total of 36% bonus damage, they only get 18%,” the OP continued. To prove this point, they even posted a video on their YouTube channel, explaining exactly how this issue is harming such builds.

For context, Gloom is one of the most handy Passive Skills for Darkness Necromancer builds in Diablo 4. It grants bonus damage as you inflict Shadow damage on the target, however, according to the OP, this is not the case anymore against bosses.

Players were furious with this as they added: “[The] game’s been out almost a year and it is still so much bugged. Glad Rod said to judge them based on Season 3, good riddance to bad rubbish.” As the Gloom Passive involved minions, some claimed that they ‘gave up’ on the build.

“Their incompetency with basic math is kinda disgusting,” added a player as they were quite annoyed with this, while others claimed how the entire game “has stuff like this.”

Blizzard are yet to address this issue explicitly, however, considering that the community is quite furious about it, don’t be surprised to see a patch dropped to fix it sooner or later.
