Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 is finally here, bringing a ton of new additions to both games. Multiplayer fans have fresh maps and Vortex mode to get stuck into, while Warzone players can enjoy the long-awaited Urzikstan map.

As always, there are also plenty of new arrivals coming to the store, from Dune bundles featuring Paul Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, to Tracer Packs full of unique guns and skins. One of these is set to deliver the first Mastercraft weapons of the new era.

But what are Mastercraft weapons in MW3 and Warzone? Here’s everything you need to know.

MW3 & Warzone Mastercraft weapons explained

Mastercraft weapons are a rare tier of Blueprints in MW3 and Warzone for existing guns, drastically altering their visuals and playstyle with a special combination of attachments and animations. The variant was first introduced back in Black Ops 4 and was later seen in both BOCW and Vanguard.

When they first debuted, Mastercrafts featured reactive camos that changed during a match, but this was scrapped in later titles. In MW3 and Warzone, they work similarly to regular Blueprints, but with a more over-the-top look.

How to get Mastercraft weapons in MW3 & Warzone

So far, the only way to get Mastercraft weapons in MW3 and Warzone is by buying them in bundles from the CoD Store. The Echo Endo Ecstatic Entropy Tracer Pack will bring the first Mastercraft guns when it arrives later in Season 1, but there is currently no word on when they will be added.

The devs will likely release more Mastercraft weapons throughout the lifecycle of both games, but it remains to be seen if they will include them in free events or as part of future Battle Passes.
