Warzone glitch gives player free wallhacks then bans them instantly

The Call of Duty team has made a point to crack down on cheaters in both Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. With RICOCHET anti-cheat in place, the system is meant to detect and sometimes even nerf cheaters live in-game.
However, what happens when a visual glitch gives a Warzone player wallhacks? The unfortunate answer to that question was discovered by Warzone player ‘AmarOriginal’ and they provided the proof on Reddit. The post below reveals an endgame exchange that provides the OP with free wallhacks.
The visual glitch sees certain portions of the Urzikstan map fail to render, allowing the OP to locate an enemy player through what should have been the side of a rock. However, after taking down the player, the OP is swiftly kicked from the game and suspects that they’ve been shadowbanned.
The OP states that it’s their “third shadowban in a month.” They noticed a recurring theme tied to their recent Warzone bans: “As soon as I have spectators and I am doing well, I get shadowed.”
One player in the comments suspected that the OP was banned as a result of reports from Warzone players who might have been baffled to see the OP track players through a solid surface from their point of view:
“When those people speccing him saw him shoot at rocks they probably insta-reported. He has 4 spectators plus the guy he killed who watches the kill cam. If he’s been banned before then that’s enough to trigger a shadow.”
Others sympathized with AmarOriginal’s ban which was a result of the visual glitch, but ultimately understood why it happened: “While it’s not your fault that the game did this, I’d 100% report if I was spectating that and the map was rendering normally for the spectators. The blame is on the buggy game here.”
