Warzone expert’s iconic rifle loadout outguns meta SMGs at close-range

Warzone players feel that the MCW, better known as the iconic ACR Assault Rifle, has been underwhelming so far in Season 1, but CoD expert Metaphor has revealed to reinvent it as an SMG that kills faster than the best guns in that category.

The Warzone Season 1 update added the full line of Modern Warfare 3 weapons to the battle royale, completely overhauling the meta in the process. There are now well over 100 guns to choose from, such as long-range Sniper Rifles or heavy LMGs.

While the likes of the BAS-B and DG-56 have quickly made a name for themselves on Urzikstan, there are some popular multiplayer guns that have struggled in Warzone. One of these is the MCW, which is regarded as one of MW3’s best weapons, but has slipped down the pecking order in BR.

Luckily, Warzone expert Metaphor has shared a loadout that transforms the iconic Assault Rifle into a top-tier SMG.

In his December 21 video, the YouTuber explained that the build was given to him by fellow CoD guru JGOD, and relies on the JAK Raven Kit to rework it for close-range. He claimed that with this setup, the MCW “beats every SMG” in Season 1.

“I’m sure a lot of you have wanted to use the ACR in Warzone but it’s pretty terrible,” said Metaphor. “However, with this Jak Conversion Kit, it actually makes a great Sniper support and it actually has one of the fastest TTKs in the entire game.”

Barrel: Kimura Silentshot Integral
Stock: RB Regal Heavy Stock
Magazine: 40 Round Mag
Ammunition: Blackout High Grain Rounds
Conversion Kit: JAK Raven Kit

Metaphor began his best MCW loadout in Warzone with the Kimura Silentshot Integral Barrel, buffing the rifle’s ADS and movement speeds. Then, he added RB Regal Heavy Stock for improved recoil control, ensuring it can land shots at mid-range.

The 40 Rounds Mags were vital so that you can deal with multiple enemies before reloading, stocked with Blackout High Grain Rounds to increase the AR’s bullet velocity. Finally, the most important attachment is the JAK Raven Kit, which buffs its close range damage, movement, and fire rate to essentially turn the MCW into an SMG.

The Warzone expert recommended giving this build a try in your next match, especially if you’ve been looking for an excuse to run the MCW.
