Surprising MW3 Assault Rifle “melts everyone” with phenomenal TTK
ActivisionThe meta is slowly starting to take shape in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and CoD expert WhosImmortal has revealed the “surprising” rifle that he thinks is the best in the game.
Modern Warfare 3 introduces 37 new weapons for players to try out, from close-range SMGs to deadly Sniper Rifles. The community has already been putting them through their paces to discover which guns are the best ahead of MW3’s integration with Warzone in Season 1.
As you’d expect Assault Rifles have been very strong in the early meta, with the MCW and MTZ-556 emerging as top options. However, CoD expert WhosImmortal has revealed the shock AR that he thinks takes the crown in Modern Warfare 3 so far.
In an upload to his YouTube channel, the creator explained that the DG-58 is “probably the best gun in the game” and it absolutely “dominates” matches, despite being a burst Assault Rifle which tend to be less effective than full-auto weapons.
“The burst fire rate here is so fast, it’s like a two-burst every single time max if you’re in the mid-range or close-range, or playing aggressive,” said WhosImmortal. “I love the feel of this thing, it’s so surprising how good this is. I wouldn’t have said a burst weapon would be my go-to option, but here we are.”
The YouTuber then shared the attachments needed to build the best DG-58 loadout for Modern Warfare 3, which you can check out below.
WhosImmortal reveals best Assault Rifle loadout in MW3
- Muzzle: Komodo Heavy
- Barrel: DG-56 LS18 Barrel
- Optic: MK. 3 Reflector
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Comb: FSS Last Stand Comb
WhosImmortal began his best DG-58 loadout in MW3 with the DG-56 LS18 Barrel, buffing the AR’s damage range and bullet velocity to make it more effective at mid-range. Then, he went for the Komodo Heavy and FTAC Ripper 56 for extra recoil control to help it stay on target after each burst.
He also picked the FSS Last Stand Comb to improve the ADS speed, making the DG-58 much more aggressive than other guns in its class. Finally, he added the MK. 3 Reflector Optic, but this can be swapped for your preferred sight.
With this setup, WhosImmortal claimed the DG-58 “melts everyone” in Modern Warfare 3 and recommended that players take it for a spin in their next match.
