MW3 Season 3 Reloaded update release date

The MW3 Season 3 Reloaded update will arrive on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT / 5 PM BST.

The release date was confirmed by the Season 3 Reloaded Call of Duty blog. The Classified Sector in the Season 3 Battle Pass also points to May 1 as the released date for the update.

If any unexpected delays come into play, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

MW3 Season 3 Reloaded BAL-27 Assault Rifle

Modern Warfare 3 players will have the opportunity to unlock the BAL-27 Assault Rifle through a new Sector in the Season 3 Battle Pass after the Reloaded update.

According to the devs, the BAL-27 is a unique AR that is “designed to increase fire rate over time while the trigger is squeezed.”

MW3 Season 3 Reloaded new maps: Checkpoint & Grime

Checkpoint and Grime are the two new 6v6 maps coming to Modern Warfare 3 following the Reloaded update. Checkpoint is a small map that brings Rebirth Island’s Stronghold POI to multiplayer. Meanwhile, Grime is an original design that brings small to medium-sized action to the streets of London.

MW3 Season 3 Reloaded new modes: Minefield, Escort & Arcade

Minefield and Escort are the two new MW3 modes arriving in Season 3 Reloaded. Minefield will litter the battlefield with Proximity Mines at the feet of dead enemies, while players attempt to play matches of Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and more.

Then, players will remember Escort as the new mode is a modern version of the classic Payload mode. The attacking team will be tasked with escorting an MAW vehicle to a specific location, while the defending team’s goal is to stop the vehicle at all costs.

The Arcade playlist is set to bring powerups and special weapons to a number of MW3’s maps and modes. For starters, “Eliminated enemies will drop a powerup where they fall, granting one of two temporary abilities on pickup.” These abilities are unlimited ammo or unlimited grenades.

Players will notice glowing weapons across the map that indicate they’re empowered with special abilities. Examples of special abilities include: “the Punch Knife with a dramatically increased lunge distance, the MORS Sniper Rifle and Riveter Shotgun loaded with explosive projectile rounds,” and players can expect more in the Arcade playlist.

MW3 Season 3 Reloaded new Equipment

The Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 Reloaded update will introduce the Enhanced Vision Goggles Field Upgrade and the EMD Mine Tactical Equipment.

The EMD Mine is a powerful mine that “sticks to surfaces.” When a player triggers the mine, they’re hit with a tracker device that reveals their location.

Meanwhile, the Enhanced Vision Goggles will allow players to flip back and forth between standard sight and enhanced sight that provides an outline of your target.

MW3 Season 3 Reloaded Zombies content

In Season 3 Reloaded, MW3 Zombies players will receive the continuation of the Dark Aether narrative, another Rift to explore, a new Warlord to challenge, and several new challenges and Schematics to unlock.

Rainmaker is the new Warlord to take on in Season 3 Reloaded, and they’ll be equipped with plenty of artillery to make things difficult as you attempt to breach Rahaa Island. Then new Schematics for the Dead Wire Detonators, Golden Mask Filer, and Sergeant’s Beret will make their way to Zombies.

The third Dark Aether Rift in MW3 Zombies will arrive for players eager to claim some valuable rewards. The new quest will offer players another opportunity to explore the depths of the mysterious Rift.
